They really have to address the issue of uploading off a mobile device.

Hold your mobile device horizontally when taking a pic. Kinda goes with what chateaux said about the "I" phone in my thread. "Incompatible"

Ok now try a 180°, if it works (big if) then that's how you hold it.

I know this is a pain in the kiester, but for the ones that are sideways, I use the phones edit and rotate them around until they post correctly. Trial and error.
Somewhere in the Help section it gives instructions about the phone pics.

It's a conspiracy, the government is seeding the clouds to help prove the theory of Global Warming. Aren't you all enjoying ''cabin fever''? You know, being boxed in for months and weeks on end.

Not having a case of cabin fever, just finished the screen porch area in our renovation project. Trimming out a house sucks the time out of the winter blues.

We'll 3/5ths of the photos turned the right way.
Floors are 150yr old Ash boards out of a dry SHED on a homestead.
All the wood build outs I milled from Aspen with Birch sills.
Reclaimed brick we bought from supplier.
Floors have 4 coats of stain and sealer.

Pepper, I think there's a couple of issues that are causing your
pics to show up sideways, etc.

One is the image size..your pics average about 2mb in size..
no need for that size of image for regular use. The images are
roughly 4000x3000 pixels, and all you need for on-line
use is 1000x800 (or thereabouts).

Your phones software can make many adjustments to an image. See pages.
87 and 88 in the manual:

https://www.baka.ca/files/download/...manuals/samsung-galaxy-s7-user-guide-en.pdf?

You're probably set at the largest image size, and if you change it to
a smaller image size you probably won't see a bit of difference in image
quality.

You've also got image processing tools right in the phone:

Galaxy S7 ? How do I crop a picture on my Samsung Galaxy S7 (SM-G930W8)?

That's a beautiful yard....:occasion14:

TEST5-2.jpg

Oh...and those yellow circles you see at the lower left and right? My guess
is there were fluorescent lights on in the room you took the image from.

Wow that sounds great, thanks for the help in getting this figured out.
The yellow reflection might be from the 3 panel LED spot light I use while finishing.
That view is north side of the house looking out of the screened porch.

Well it's not much winter like here for us, but we still got 2 and a half months where we can get dumped on yet. Worst snowstorm I ever drove through was on Mother's Day one year. I don't know about phone pics, but with my camera I always load up my pics into Documents. I open them with Paint and resize 20 x 20, which works out ok for posting. I can also rotate if I need to and save that version. I would think that would work for you, but like I said I don't know anything really about phone pics, except the quality seems to be getting better all the time.
