Camped here last night. Pretty dry and windy yesterday so sand got into everything, but calmed down at night. 28 degrees and heavy frost this a.m. Lots of chert used for toolmaking for thousands of years around here. I tried to chip out a pair of pliers but that didn't work out. Went in to Kremmling and checked out a new sculpture. I don't know what it represents, but it does bear a passing resemblance to my ex-mother-in-law.

I like looking along the shores of blue mess res. over by Gunnison. That looks like a good shoreline to look over also. Is that the source of chert in that thin band within the brown rock?

Great pics.

I have to say, I wouldn't get my hair done at that salon. I'd be afraid of what I would look like when they got done!

I love the dancing flames from the fire. Pretty cool.

Yeah tr, that's a vein of it. There's a lot of it all over the west side here. In all the time I've spent lookin around here, I've only found one piece that looked like it was actually worked.
