Is that an impoundment? It's a great view but I didn't think The Mississippi was that wide in Wisconsin.

You're right! Actually its a few miles north of Maiden Rock looking south. It is the head of lake Pepin.
I was on my way do do a little detecting in Plum Creek, WI.

i think i see some indian artifacts on the other side.i sure would be looking on the shore for artifacts.you ever find any?awesome view
