Lucky the Coon stopped by last night for some dinner, and
while she was munching on her chow I grabbed the camera
for a few pics.

Unfortunately, there's 2 other coons that have been following
her around, and if I feed her outside they gang up on her
and steal her food, so I had her come in the garage to eat.

She has another litter this year, and while she hasn't brought
them for a visit, yet, I expect she'll present the kits fairly soon.

Asked her for a smile, and instead caught her mid-chew...:laughing7:

Most likely that's a mom and 3-4 very little ones living in that log..8-)

If you can watch the spot where you leave the food, keep a sharp
eye out for the little ones when mom takes them out and about. Baby
raccoons are about as cute as baby critters get:

Very clever creatures. By next week, they may have figured out how to get inside and open the fridge.

Almost impossible to hang a birdfeeder that a raccoon or squirrel cannot get into and tear apart for food.

Never cared for the taste of coon, meat is really stringy and greasy.

The little ones learn so quickly. I've watched a mom teach her babies by example how to climb my porch columns to get into the bird feeders.
