You should have laughed loudly and declared it fool's gold. Then offered him 10 bucks so you could use it to show people how you can be mistaken you've found gold. He probably wouldn't have fell for it, but worth a try.

I got handed this today to check out. Kind of a rusted quartz with that Eureka gold inclusion, but no one can say for sure where it was found. Guy at the coin shop said it just walked in the door and he bought it. I'm thinking it came from California?

I was hoping you found it. Was looking for the nominate for banner button.
