Really cool! I love Stephen King. Those gates with the bats are neat. Gerry would have been giving me heck and the ::) look for walking right on in too. How else were you going to get an autograph?

Thanks so much for sharing!

That is so cool,I'm a big Stephen King/Richard Bachman fan.The Stand is probably my favorite. Didn't he get hit with a car walking near his home some years back?

Yes, he was hit by a guy driving a van near his camp out around Salem, Maine. My brother-in-law has a camp up there not far from Kings.

A strange fact about the guy that hit him though. A couple 2,3 years after the accident, the guy ends up dying from something. It just happens that the guy actually died on Kings birthday. This is not urban legend, it is a fact!

Really gives you the creaps just thinking about it!

I have driven by Kings house, back 7 or so years ago, when I was in Bangor for my uncles funeral. Not scarey at all, kids playing in the yard, but the fence is cool.

Re: Found Myself At Stephen King's House

My brother-in-law used to play softball with Stephen King, at West Ways at Kezar lake. There's a book of short stories titled, "Vacationland" by Dave E. Morine. One of the stories, "The Last Hooray", is about that game. It was just a bunch of local guys who would get togther for this game. What I hear, he's a pretty good guy. My bro-in-law also knows the guy who made that fence, and knew who the drunk was that hit Stephen.
