Took these today as I made my way home from Montrose Colorado today. First picture is looking up the valley at Buffalo Peaks. When I got to Buena Vista, I like to go along the old Midland RR grade road, because it's a few miles of a nice slow drive along the rushing river. Going into Leadville I go around it all by taking some back roads that'll put me out on the other side of town and then head to that crazy Interstate 70 and back to the city life.

I lived in Leadville as it was the first place I moved to in Colorado. Yes winter time can make for some pretty photographs, but the heck with living up there. Go 40 So. miles of there and the winters aren't near as deep in snow. Sure don't miss digging my old 73' Bonneville out of six feet of snow every time it snowed up there, which was like every day up there during the winter.
