There were lots of waterfowl and shorebirds at a local lake today. The shorebirds sure are a challenge to photograph, running around nonstop as they do. This is the first Blue Heron I've managed to photograph. They are very wary!
The Killdeers like to follow other birds around, like they want to be friends. The other birds tolerate them, but the Killdeers scamper away at the first reaction from the other birds. Funny to watch!
I'm using a telescope as the lens on my DSLR,to get close up photos of the birds. But it still isn't easy!
