These pics are from a couple years back. My personal tradition is that I get out atleast once and trout fish before the last snow or atleast while the last of the snow is still on in these deep "hollers" where my native buddies hide. Hope you all enjoy. If any of you fish for these native brookies as well remember catch and release unless you dont think they will survive after being hooked.....they are becoming more rare and there habitats are become more threatened every year by "progress"

Awesome country, looks a lot like my home state
of AR.
We don't have 'native trout', but below the dams, in
Northern AR, fishing is great, (stocked trout).

Isn't it a great escape to get out in the wild when there's snow on the ground? Everything is so much quieter and peaceful; and in your case you have the fun of catching those native brookies. ;D

Beautiful winter scene pics, Justin. We don't have those fish down here. I believe I ate some in Cherokee, NC...Mountain trout? They're just gutted and fried whole with head left on.
