Those are great pictures! I love the foal peeking around the cactus.

What was that on the stone, I have to hear the story?

You can't just show us pictures and not tell about all the events at the rendezvous. I bet it was a blast! Run into any jumping cactus? I should have warned you about those buggers :D.

Thanks for sharing, can't wait to hear the rest!

There's so many stories I wouldn't know where to begin!!! Honest, I could probably post a 10,000 word story and put everyone to sleep!!

The stone was along a hike I took up to a mine on Saturday. It had pictographs on it and the shot is of the best one I could see - it's right in the middle and looks like a cow or horse with 4 legs.

The 2 pictures with horses in them came from an old ranch where many LDM searches began years ago.

The rest of the pictures were just different shots of mountain areas - most came during hikes.

I had an absolutely fantastic time!!! The stories from folks who have spent literally lifetimes exploring the Superstition Mountains was amazing and everyone was exceptionally nice! I have a whole new respect for hiking in the desert mountains after spending ~8 hours Saturday and ~6 hours Sunday doing just that. I can definitely see how ill prepared people can and do die out there.

Didn't see any rattlesnakes, scorpions or tarantulas, but I'm sure they saw me!!!

I'm absolutely going back again!!

If you want to go detecting, I'll listen and be wide awake!

Do you know what the pictograph means? What did the pro's have for a story?

Gosh.......I wish I could have gone! :)

Absolutely breathtaking scenery. I just ooh and aah over places like this, cause it such a change from the bayous & swamps. Like a scene from a western movie, one can almost see the Indians on horseback on top of the ridges.
