Bull snakes have fangs but no poison. Is that correct? No poisonous snakes or 4 legged monsters that can kill you in my area. Lucky. The worst thing that could happen to you around here is run into a skunk or find some angry bees. Gary

It looks like they have tiny teeth like a Garter Snake, but I've heard snakes like this and Garter snake's will bite you and can scratch the skin and draw blood. The harm can be from their mouth having a lot of bacteria in it and a small wound can become rather infected if not cleaned and treated.

Garter snakes are actually venomous, but the venom is weak, and they have to hang on for awhile, as their venom glands are at the back of their mouth. They have no delivery system, except to hang on and "chew" the venom in. The venom eventually makes their prey weak and lethargic.

Bull snakes are cool and great imitators. They can hiss very loud and act big and bad. They can vibrate their tails and it sounds like a rattler in dry leaves. I have seen them rise up and spread out like a cobra. I have no idea how they learned that. They don't have fangs and aren't venomous, but some people do have a reaction when bitten, probably due to bacteria.

Snakes are out and about for sure! They even like to hide in the trees!
