Only in 'small town America'

Sights like this can only be seen in 'Small Town America'.
While traveling to Texas for a selling trip, I spied this old well in the
middle of the street, it was probably the 'main street at one time, it is in
the small town of 'Cove AR'.
A few old buildings were still standing also.

Lots of history there.. I can still see the rocking chair gang playin checkers on the front porch of theat ol store...

Even with all the Small towns around here I have yet to see a Community Well
that has Survived.

I have to agree with Jeff....they are usually filled in, etc. with the construction of public water supplies and State Regulatory interference. Maybe that one will be able to survive the "environmental" protectionists that say the water is unsafe to drink!

I have to agree with Jeff....they are usually filled in, etc. with the construction of public water supplies and State Regulatory interference. Maybe that one will be able to survive the "environmental" protectionists that say the water is unsafe to drink!

This one is probably just for show, but it is a wonder that it
survived in the middle of the street.

No, I was selling to an individual that I knew from Mt. Ida AR, she had moved back to Texas & wanted me to bring a load of stuff.
