    Local History

    Hi there

I had off from work this past Sunday,so i took a walk to a local church that is just down the road
from where i live. Nice old church and old cemetery as well. Some of the grave go back as fare as 1740's.

    Thanks
This Church was founded by a group of Germans in 1765 0r 1766,and the original structer was located in the middle of the older part of the cemetery.
I was told that a new church was built to replace the old log one in 1802or 1803. and than it burned some where after that time, and they built a new one,
to replace that one as well. That was in 1844.The building that you see next to it was built back in the 90s or early 2000's. The new Jersey historical society,
has more info on it. And they also have the church records,of deaths ectra.
