This little critter climbed down off my fence, climbed up my sunflower plant, stole a blossom, then climbed up on the top of the fence. He ran down the top about 6 feet and stopped to pull out the fresh seeds. He was so busy he allowed me to get within 3-4 feet of him and didn't miss a beat, he was so busy pulling out the seeds.

I had 5 in my yard today getting acorns . getting all nice and fat for the frying pan, err I mean for winter. lots of rabbits too .
I'll be eating good this winter.

I went to Washington D.C years ago and saw solid white and solid black squirrels.

Nice pic. I have a herd of them here. They use the boat as a picnic table for their dinner.

If it’s letting you that close, you can probably get it to take nuts from your hand. I’ve had several wild squirrels that were like pets. The best was Fat Face, a hearty female orange fox squirrel. She would eat out of our hand, knock on our screen door, come in our house and without blinking go nose to nose with our cat.

Another good one was a baby squirrel I found wondering around my Garden. It was to young to be out of the tree and no adult squirrels were to be seen. So, I built it a house right outside my window and ended up raising it to adulthood. It was so excited to see us one day that it jumped out of the tree onto my face, then on to my wife’s face and then back to the tree, scratching both our faces in the process.

Got some anger issues, Charlie? Why on earth would you suggest shooting anything that's just trying to survive?

The world is a violent brutal place for everyone and every thing. Whether or not it’s in someone scope of acceptance.

You have no idea. Suggest you knock and wait for permission before entering; whether you're burglarizing to survive or not.

Squirrels have their place. But they are rats with a fluffy tail. They can do a great deal of damage.

And aren't bad with carrots and peas.

Charlie P. Don't pay any attention to FreeBirdTim. He chewed me out a couple years ago when I posted a photo of a deer that was killed by coyotes.

Pay no attention to pa plateau hiker, he's just trying to stir the pot. I wasn't chewing him out, just wondering if he needed to talk to someone to get help for his anger issues. End of story.

Nice worldtalker. We all have our photos of dead animal bones we come across in the woods.
