I went looking for eagles today but did notice any. When the swans are around there usually a baldy close. I wouldnt say they are thick but between here and Bennett Co. SD swans are plenty easy to find 995ACB79-86BB-4A9C-98ED-ED1D2C87AACA.jpeg FE8D83EB-F212-41D0-B877-9EAAD5FB69F8.jpeg

Are Trumpeters native or imported? We don't have those here in the Midwest. At least I don't think so. Gary

Hello Dennis, there are a lot of them, LaCreek area Sodak doesn’t freeze up there’s so many birds. Geese and ducks too.
There has been a pair nest close here for long time. I think when Sandhills freeze up these head here to water.
Do you see sandhill cranes? I’ve seen them in the ruby valley my nesting along irrigated meadows and such. They’ll be here next.

Yes, the Sandhill cranes nest around here every year. It is something how their calls can be heard for quite a distance.
