Kansas...I feel for ya. We had a bad one in Nashville during the night in the early 90's. I reported to our Emergency Management "war room" and we had no idea how bad things were until the Mayor was able to get in a helicopter the following afternoon. Looks like your situation is about the same as we had; took weeks to get the roads cleared and everybody back in power.
That looks so bad and so very cold, we got hit like that in 2005, I just sat in the house listening to limbs crackin til I heard the big one crash and we lost the power, went to check it had to call the police they came and watched the power line till the elec. got there to shut it off it pulled the box off the house a little scarey ther for a bit.
