This is a pic of one of my other hobbies
as you can see some are quite big.

the spots on the side of the tinfoil barb are from oving him to clean his tank.
he put up a fight got me all wet as well as the carpet..lol
he ran into the lid and lost some scales but they will grow back in a few weeks.

took me 4 hours to clean and move the big tank
but so worth it
this is only the second time i cleaned it in the last year I have a big Plecostamus in there that keeps the glass up pretty good.

Nice fish! Takes a while to grow them that large. Salt or fresh? What's the little bright blue fish? (looks like a saltwater fish)

I've got a 55gal. myself. Some of our fish have lived 20+ years, we had a very large Pleco, but a visiting kid cranked up the heater and he didn't make it. Haven't used a heater since and the fish still do fine. We've had varying species, pirhana, oscars, bass, but we keep a community tank now.

Four hours for cleaning? Or did you relocate the tank too? Are you using a gravel washer? Takes me about an hour using the gravel washer.

Here's a neat trick that will make your background come to life. (although your's looks fairly bright in the pics) Spray the back of the tank with water before you put the background in place. Press out the air bubbles like you would with window tint. Makes a difference of night and day in brightness and color, and it will stay that way for years. Once in maybe a decade, I'll peel it back a little and shoot a little water if a dry spot appears.

Did I mention... Nice fish!

PS: I see you're a fishing nut, someday we'll have to swap stories.

I qualify as a fishnut. My tank has a few bluegills, some warmouths, and 2 very large minnow's. They are very aggressive and will jump out of the water after food. I like the gravel in your tank.

the little blue fish are demsils and yes it is a salt tank.
the bigger fish the orange one is an Osar and the spotted one is not a blue gill it is a Jack Demsey.
Very agressive fish
they must be in order to boss a Oscar around.
Once in a while I feed the gold fish.

I have a hose vacume for the gravel
and dont like the under gravle filters
I use the double Boi wheel filter
and the reson it took 4 hours is because I moved it.
broke it down scrubbed the glass inside and out.
