Great photo! Can't wait to see more pics of these clouds. Your local NOAA weather site might like to see this photo. They post a lot of cool sky/weather photos sent in by locals.

Those clouds indicate severe wind speed in and above the cloud. Pilots will avoid those areas (right around the clouds).

When you fly you learn that if it is pretty and inviting--you use extreme caution. Maybe even pretend it is not there. :) Also rainbows viewed when airborne from a small airplane are complete circles and are horizontal. I guess that is to keep pilots from landing and getting the pot of gold. ha. :)
