Whoa! We were standing in the EXACT spot you took this photo from last Sunday. Too weird! We had gone for a drive & had lunch up at Humphrey's Station then came back down thru Friant. We stopped at the parking lot to check out what they did with the new (new to us anyway) park. They did a really nice job with the parking & the ramps down to the river. Boy, the folks in that old house don't have much privacy anymore, do they.

That does look familiar! Look for arrow heads. I caught my first trout right around there. They were planters, but it got me interested in fishing.
Dont tell anyone but there is still gold in dat river

Does anybody remember that sideshow truck that was parked on the corner where the photo of the dam was taken? When I first came to the Fresno area in 1975 or 6 the semi was parked at that corner & for a small fee you could go inside & look at a very formaldahyded dead whale. It was really really weird! At that time that area was boonies & here's a sideshow truck, out in the middle of nowhere. I think it was "Binky the Whale" or something like that. Can you imagine someone trying that today!!!!

I cant remember the side show but i witnessed a shootout at the bar before you get to the dam. The Hells Angels and the Mongols had a arguement over this woman( my ex girlfriend ) and bullets flew. It was on Clovis Rodeo weekend the same day i turned 21. Funny thing was nobody was hit by a bullet. That was the 1st time my HD started on the first kick and me and others left seconds later. I didnt realise how fast that 71 shovel would go till that day....aa
