I went metal detecting with my son and my brother for the first time this year. We tried by the lake but there was still patches of snow. We did find some coins there but they weren't old. We then decided to try a closed down movie drive in and we did find a 1923 wheat penny and quite a few new pennys and couple of post 64 dimes. The oldest find of the day was a broken indian arrowhead that I found on top of the ground a few yards from where the concession stand use to be. That freaked us out , because we had no clue that indians camped there at one time. All in all it was a fun day and I hope to have many more like it. Heres a few pics.... My brother detecting in the bush...My son digging a penny... me striking a pose...and our view of the lake.
