Got out detecting yesterday, but I am a better photographer. Thought I would share a couple of pictures of my afternoon. The Oriel was quite a distance away, so full zoom no tri-pod, not bad. What a beautiful bird, quite a singer.

The spring flowers are blooming and the old truck is out of the garage. Thought I would try the macro on my bleeding hearts too, love them!

Great photos Kim, I remember last year when I first got my Canon, that I had the wonderful opportunity of zooming in on those Scarlet Tangers that were so beautiful , and the Oriole is right up with them for beauty. Flower pics are great and the truck looks better this year. :icon_scratch:

Thanks Folks! I'm not sure why that truck seems to look even better? Took her out for the first ride of the season yesterday. :icon_sunny: The oriel was back around. As a matter of fact the birds were quite active yeterday. Poor Hound dog was walking around the yard and jumped a mile when the sparrow landed on her tail. :D ROFL! The Oriel is the first bird I've seen trying to eat the gypsy moths, yuck. Tyler had a good day of fishing, we cooked those trout right up on the grille, YUM. Micki likes trout too! :D

Yeah Sis, I really wish I had caught it on video too, she came right off the ground and spun around in a circle, the look of shock on her face. :D

Joe, that's one of my favorites too, that's a male Cardinal. I have 2 pair that come around now, lets hope for 3.

Bridge, That's a bleeding heart, a true sign of spring so one of favorites. They come in white hearts also, but I don't have much luck with the white ones, I have 6 pink. May get some more for the front, the Hubby keeps making me more gardens. :icon_sunny:

Carolina, Ty had to be the one to eat the "Native" he caught, even if it was the smallest. Almost lost it to Micki! :D

I'm guessing if it grows here, it'll grow anywhere. Low of (I heard 36 >:() 40 degrees tonight. Dang the heat still kicks on every now and then. Monday was only 50, windy, brrrr Today was nice, 75 in the sun. :icon_sunny: We'll get there! Plant those Hearts and let me know how it goes. Good luck and stay cool? Oh give me 80 +. :D

You have such a talent with your bird and flower pics. Simply beautiful...love those flowers.

BEF, Noodle had bleeding hearts in her green house. They're the ones that were hanging back there where you were sitting.

 RR
