Those are definitely not the clouds I would like to see gathering over my place. Great pics.

You should be a storm chaser ;D

I would, but where I live they seem to chase me. I just moved to the area a couple months ago and most of the thunderstorms that don't turn in to tornadoes look like that. Those were taken about 10 mins away from my house on the way to town.
Clean glass like that comes from using strong glass cleaner and b/w newspapers, works like a charm everytime :)
Those shots came off my cellphone, I was amazed how well they turned out when I got home and put them on the puter!

Great shots, I know it was bad to have to drive thru but, right now since today the heat index was only 100 it looks soooooo cooool and invigerating.

They say maybe rain tomorrow ! We are setting record breaking temps everyday they are telling us! :icon_sunny:

Yup it was pretty nasty about 10 minutes in to it, a ton of hard rain and hail, visibility was at about less then half a foot in front of me. The last shot is just before the tornado dropped on the ground, I missed it by a few seconds, but didn't feel like stopping for a second take :D

Several years ago it was suposed to be just a storm left for work during a lull in the rain and some people who had a business down the street were getting ready to leave, 3 blocks behind me the tornado took the wondows out of their van! But according to city officials (who want people to move here) it was straight wind we did not have a tornado!

Nice pics.
It reminded me of driving across western Oklahoma at night once with lots of lightning. You could see clouds like those every time it would lightning. Turned on the radio and it stated there were tornado warnings from the Texas line to OKC. Cell after cell after cell and they were all about 5-10 miles north of I 40. It was a great 2 hour light show.
