These are some shots of Big Bend National Park in south Texas, I took these shots on my last visit right before I moved north to Illinois. It's without a doubt some of the roughest terrain, hottest and one of the most gorgeous and quiet places I've ever seen with terrific views of the border and the Rio Grande. Not many people get to visit it since it's in such a remote area of the state so I thought I would share ;D

Great pics!

Love the desert. Did you, by chance, see the hot springs in that area?

Yep, spent years exploring this area, I've got a ton of photos of various places here, I'll find my cd's with my other photos and post them up

Re: Big Bend National Park

Here's a few more shots, these are the hot springs, the road to the hot springs, one of the remaining buildings of the hot springs village, and a shot of the Rio Grande. The cliffs in the distance are the border to Mexico. I'll dig some more up soon
The last one I have in much larger size, had to shrink it down for posting here. If anyone wants a bigger version for a wallpaper I'm happy to share ;D

That last pic is outstanding. Love the contrast between light and shadow.

Thanks again

Nightwolf,
Wow, that is some beautiful and rugged looking country. Really like those red mountains in the last pic. Thanks for sharing.
