Sweet shots! Ever taken a boat out to that small island? Curiosity would probably get the best of me ;D

If you look real close at the second picture from the top, you will see a white speck just to the left of the island. The speck is a tour boat. I believe they make hiking trips on the island.

Thanks ALL,

Ron

Mom and Grandma were up to Crater lake just recently but I have not been there for years, thanks for the great pics....it is always different to see the ones taken by folks you know instead of just the postcards and such! Thanks again!

Thanks Cyn,

That was the first time I have been there in about 7 years. Last time was when my daughter worked at the lodge there.

Like I said, I live about 30 miles north of there, and the soil under my house is about 10 feet of vocanic pumice. They say that the pumice came from that volcano when it erupted awhile back. So if that lake begins to boil, I will be moving in a hurry.

Many Thanks to ALL for your comments.

Pretty pics!
I have family near Kirby and Ashland but have not been there yet. Last time we were there we went to the Oregon caves. Pretty cool! Great way to stay cool on a hot summer day.

Beautiful pictures. Is detecting allowed on the island??. It would be a sweet spot to check out.
