We have had deer in our yard for years, seen nice bucks, usually many does, but never have seen a spotted fawn in the yard till today. Had to take the photographs thru my dining room window, so clarity not the best, and also had to zoom since the deer stayed about 50-75 feet away from the house. They were eating mushrooms.

Take notice of the dirty legs, they crossed the swampy muck of what is left of the water in my pond........The mother was rather vigilant the whole time while the fawn seemed to care less about any unforeseen danger....

Awesome photos, thanks for posting them.

We have a 3 regular does that pass through the soybean field to the north of us.
One has one fawn.
One has twin fawns.
One has triplets.

We havent seen them in the last 3 days...........kind of a bummer but going to place antother mineral block in your back yard next week.
This is good and bad...............Deer will be happy, but our danged dog Ruby......the Rhodesian Ridgeback/terrior will be waking us up barking at O'dark thirty................

Great shots! I had a couple in my yard this morning, but they took off on me before I could get the camera, maybe next time!
I fixed your photos for you, they were some terrific shots and I wanted you and everyone else to be able to enjoy them without window distortion, hope you like them

AWESOME! Don, I wish I could catch them with my good camera instead of the trail camera, great shots! Mom looks like she is barely out of spots? Young one huh?

So what did you drop when you were sitting on that bench? Looks like they like it?

I was thinking the same as Kimmie; figured you'd baited the yard! ::)

BTW...I at first wondered if the critter with the fuzzy tail was the "Momma" and you'd discovered a great miracle! :tongue3:
