:D No dang computers! The Hubby has a rough enough time firing a computer up.

We will be running the lines from the house this weekend and getting everything plumbed. The easy part?

Thanks for the update.

Looks very good. Some serious metal working tools you guys have.

Hope it works beyond your wildest expectations. (This might work!)

Re: Can we build it? Wood furnace day one.......and DONE!!!

Thanks for your patience folks! Been too busy getting this project done to be able to update before now. :-\ It's been a long haul but we got "R" done. :D Few bumps in the road. So many people are going this route that parts werre on back order. ::) Had a few change of plans. We decided to build a seperate building 10 X12 next to the garage and install Modine's in the garage. 2 small ones for heat, and a large one for a dump zone.

We got all the 1" plex tubing installed, started out with heatlamps inside the stove to slow cure the refractory. Took a few days of small fires. Got a rip roaring fire in her, brought the garage to a steady 85, guys say it's t-shirt weather and have to oen up the doors. :D Put the house on line yesterday and it works perfect!

Get's a tad complicated when it comes to the hook up, unless your an engineer! The pictures will explain it better than I will. But don't hesitate to ask away, I just might know the answer.

I am glad to say this DOES work! I am so proud of these guys!

WOW CG!!! I take it this is the "latest project" you were telling me about?

You've sure got one heck of a handy husband there and alot of pretty great friends to help out as well. I never learned any of those practical things growing up as my dad wasn't that much of a handyman. The little bit I can do I learned by trial and error (mostly error!!). Wish I lived closer as I would have loved to learn how to do even a little bit of what you guys did!

Glad it's all working for you, and it looks like just about right on time :)

Hope you have a great winter and Christmas and I'm already looking forward to heading over your way come spring thaw!

CG, all those fellows did a wonderful job!
They all deserve a beer!

I've forgotten, how long is the underground run to the house?
How deep did you dig the trench?

What a fabulous machine!
A real work of art!

Best, to all you toasty warm folks

I knew you would get a kick out of it after meeting these guys. :) I wish you were able to be here, you would have loved it. Even times like these :icon_scratch: .

I'm guessing your right, gonna get COLD after tomarrow can't believe it was pretty much ready and it started snowing. :-\

Love your post with the drift wood and hornets nest, reminded me of last year. Great finds!

Think spring! :tongue3:

Rmptr. Yeah they all deserve a break and a few beers! :D

It's a 200' run from the house to the garage. The house is on a higher level than the garage, so the trench stats 10' (give or take) deep and goes to 4' ish at the garage. Quite the trench.

Deffinately don't have to worry if you WANT to turn the heat up. They did great, hey wait I helped! :)

Good Lord that looks COMPLICATED! Talk about patience!

Girlfriend, if hubby put all that together he's in the wrong line of business! He's obviously very intelligent.

I think i'd have to drink a couple myself after doing all that!

Great JOB i'm impressed!

He does have talent Girl. He can build anything, and usually has some sort of project going on. He actually made the molds for the refractory and made them adjustable so he can build other stoves any size you need. Ours is the largest of the stoves. His brother is talking about having him build one for him.

I knew it would work.
