But some people take advantage of the situation when it arises and get in a little fishing time.

We know this isn't much for alot of aresa or the devestation on the Gulf, but, like Jeff said it has never been this hig in our life times its hard to see the rushing water. I think he is posting some more tonight ! The flood waters stopped just short of 2 blocks from his parents house.

Soooo glad it stopped short of his parent's house! They have had quite enough excitement lately without flooding too!

Great job with the post Jeff! Glad you folks are safe, thats a ton of water! Here's hoping you get a bunch of this :icon_sunny: to dry it all up, may take a while though!

The guy with the hose is just wrong! But that little girl fishing is too cute. Did she catch anything? :D

We did not wait to see I was walking along and scarin a ton of frogs back in the water! The first pic of barricades shows it had already fallen quite a bit the night before when it first crested the only part of the barricade you could see was the top couple of inches, now the Salt Fork river which is what the Arkansas flows into is about 2 foot from the top that will flood when the rest of the rain that fell up North flows down.
