OK so my other pastime, mainly in the winter, is restoring classic cars. I'm pondering a trade and need some input.

Currently I have a 1994 Camaro that has had a complete LT1 upgrade. It's basically a Z28 with no badges. It runs like a a bat out of heck I'm more into the older stuff, although I really enjoy driving this car, and have put it up for trade ONLY and got a lot of offers. The one I'm considering is a 1978 Z28 that sounds like it needs a little work, but could be driven while being restored. Here is the owners description and pictures of both. What do you think?

This Z28 is fast, GM crate 350, 300hp.,b&m shifter, new dual exhaust. Has some rust, not bad. Doors and windows work hard. Interior is ok, needs carpet, headliner. Dash is nice. Nice car for adrenaline rush. Definitely restorable and a fun weekend driver as is.

If he's willing to do a complete swap, no cash involved, then I'd jump on it. Those older Z28's really hold their value well, and because your car wasn't buils as a Z28, I don't think you'll be able to realize a great value on it in the future.

That being said, I'd take either of them!!

Well, I'd love to have either sitting in my garage, but I was forced to choose just one it'd have to be the '78.

It would really depend on where the rust is? Rockers and such can eat into your wallet pretty quick unless your good with a MIG at least.
Also check the frame for rust on those.
