hi all, I didn't know this area was on Tnet ( what a great site ). When I am not tecting or working or being bossed about by you know who, I like to build cars. So far, 3 Cobra replicas and now, for a change, an Ultima GTR. I didn't build the engine on this one because I wanted much more hp and torque than before and the gear box is straight from Getrag ( Porsche suppliers). I am a little ways from finishing it but once completed 0 to 60 2.7 seconds, top speed 237mph and 0 to 100 to 0 in 10.3 seconds. The engine was a 350 4 bolt main Chevy, bored and stroked to 383ci. Keith Black pistons. roller rocker cam (wild), forged crank and rods, tweaked Edelbrock performer heads and airgap manifold, plus a few other goodies. The first three pics (sorry for the quality) are the back end of the car I am building, the next 4 are from the Ultima factory in Hinckley where they are manufactured, check out their video library http://www.ultimasports.co.uk/Video.aspx?f=videos

all the best and I look forward to seeing your masterpieces

That is sweet! I'd have to hit the lottery just to build that engine. I'm building a 1929 Ford Model A Coupe almost from ground up at the moment.

When it's finished, why not :laughing7:. I've just got the body and interior to go, so it depends on the rate of work :laughing7: can get just when I'll finish it. Oh and going out detecting ;D.

Here you go. I am in the collecting parts stage. Going to chop it 4 inches. Putting 1935 wire wheels, split wishbone front suspension with drop I beam axle. Drum brakes all the way around. Zing the frame in the rear and may channel the body not sure. It will be a late 50's early 60's style build.

Cool builds! I like to see "in progress" shots!

Cars are my other, main hobby...

I took this '29 Ford truck:

And built this:

And this '29 coupe:

Into this...my buddy did a lot of the work on this, that"s why it looks so nice!

This '26 Ford:

IM000784.jpg

Also helped build my buddy a car...'26 roadster.

IM000608.jpg

This is at my buddy's shop...'64 Plymouth Valiant...getting a straight axle.

New2020102000222.jpg

This will be the next one...'26 Dodge with a '53 Dodge Hemi.

I hope I live long enough to get through all the projects...and keep my sanity...what's left of it anyway.

Current project is my 67 Camaro. Some of the pics make it appear to be a 68 (no vent window), it's not. The vent assembly was removed for painting. Waiting on wiring, glass & interior now. First pic is a 69 Z/28 I did a few years ago from the bare subframe up. 52K mile original car that's living in a heated garage in Washington state now at the home of it's new owner. The pic was taken at a local muscle car store where it was for sale on consignment. I shoulda kept that one...

Wow guys, what fantastic cars. I would love to have one or two of those, thats a lie I want them all :laughing7:. Unfortunately in the UK we are not allowed to drive most of that beautiful hardware on the road. We have to jump through hoops just to get the car approved, so I am really jealous of you guys but keep the pics coming I love them.

All the best and happy building

I love those '49 Stude trucks! They look custom straight from the factory! Smooth, rounded lines, the roof looks chopped allready...just add a custom grill treatment, and a nice paintjob, and they look like a million dollars!

This is the newest to my collection. Its a 47. Ended up not liking the color, so next spring it gets a new paint job, and interior.
