5 ominous little quakes this hour... along the southern San Andreas....and a 4.0... 3 hours ago 30 miles south southeast of Mexicali, also on the San Andreas...

That happens periodically on the San Andreas and Cascadia fault lines and it's a good thing. As the pressure is released it means the big one is farther in the future.

It could also mean that pressure is building where it hasn't slipped yet along the 800 mile long San Andreas fault line.
