Out in Wilderness Park, back in the 1890's, there was an area known as Epworth Park. Here they held Chataqua's. Apparently, there was a hotel, post office, store, and camp grounds. To the north, there was a boy scout camp used up until the 50's or 60's I guess. The father of a friend of mine was a boy scout who stayed there. He keeps telling me he can take me out there to show me where the camp was located, but every time I approach the subject, he has to work. So... Anyone else know where these areas are? About the only things I know for certain is, out where 1 st and Calvert meet in the park area, there is a stone archway which is the only remaining structure from the Chataqua area. I walked the whole thing and found an area that *looks* like it might have been where the pond was, but I'm not certain. Anyone in the Lincoln area know about either of these locations?

A guy told me about the area, but never been there.
Have you look at Sanborn maps?
