Just purchased a Garrett Ace 150. New to the hobby(addiction).
I've spent a few hours on the beach today, and came home with some clad coins, nothing special.
Currently researching two Confederate forts just a few minutes from my home. Checked them out using google earth, and visited one of the sites today. It looks nothing like the aerial pics, so more research is needed I guess. Actually even found a Corp of Engineers drawing from the Civil War era. Too many hurricanes have come through though, and all the earthen works are long gone.
Anyone from the Gulf Coast area just south of Houston? I'd love to hear from you! Would like some tips on where to research, and how to make the most of my beginner detector.
