Hello there, a newcomer Swede here. Sadly. Oh how I wish I was Norwegian.. anyway, I found this awesome forum a while ago and have been lurking intensely since. I guess I'm somewhat odd around here, given that I have absolutely no intentions of findings treasure, at least not the kind that could give any possible monetary gain. 
There simply isn't anything like that around here.
What I'm interested in is history; ever since I was a child, the past has been my big fascination - just like many others here, I assume.
Local history and family history are especially exiting, so to speak. I won't be finding any treasure troves, but small surprises and secrets are definitely possible to discover, and this site sure seems like a gold mine for that. 
Huh. Making a overly long and boring introduction wasn't as hard as I thought it'd be.
