New to metal detecting from Richmond, TX

Hi to All, hope everyone hade a good year.

Just getting into this and having fun. Got me Bounty Hunter IV for Christmas and spent the next 3 afternoons (1.5-3 hrs each time out) learning how to adjust out those dang pull tabs. But I think I got the hang of it after a while. The pic shows what i found so far.

It's ironic cause I just started gold prospecting around the same time, and it seems you've found much more then I have value wise, LOL.... Happy Hunting!

    Dear metal detector God,
Thank you for all the stuff I find, I really appreciate the coins, toys, junk jewelry, old bullets, and all the other neat stuff I find, I try not to complain and cuss when I find pulltabs, foil, and other garbage, and I try REALLY hard to be nice to people who irritate me. I only have one complaint, I have yet to find gold and it's been a year now!

Yep I'm pretty hyped about this. Not giving away any secrets just yet but I have a couple of thing going for me, 1-the spots I'm hitting are within some pretty popular sports fields and 2- not much pressure from others in my area.

I'm pretty sure the ring is costume jewelry the earing I believe is gold (thought is was a pull tab at firest intill i adjusted the right knobe) and not sure about the two chain items.

Yep I played around with toggling back and forth with the discrimination switch and adjust the right knob to filter gold and nickels.

I'm learning quick......but I did dig up a bunch of tabs learning that trick

Just curious, if there are any detecting clubs in the Richmond area? My daughter, grandson and I try to have our family reunions in the AZ desert every year, but missed out this year. Bought grandson a Tesoro Lobo last year. Both enjoy getting out with it, but know not as much as they'd like, for lack of knowing where to go. They live in Richmond TX.
    Thanks, Shep
