My Dad took me in the early 1980's metal detecting, northern Arkansas, Mountain Home, Norfork etc. We had a lot of fun if nothing else, never found any treasures to speak of.

The last few weeks my buddy from D'Hanis TX has been all over me about metal detecting, sparked my interest again and I bought a Garrett AT Pro and a Garrett Pointer yesterday, should be here tomorrow.

Can't wait to start doing it again. Dad is 77 now and I have a 10 year old son ... should make for some good times.

I have found quite a bit of clad ... a wheat penny today, I did find a 1941 UK 1/2 Penny the other day too ... but I'm mostly doing tot lots, trying to get a feel for the AT Pro
