    Hello there everybody,

After a year of day dreaming about being a Pirate, my wife finally broke down and got me a metal detector (although, I was really hoping for a parrot first). Iím a total rookie at all of this, and to be quite honest, right now Iím just winging it. Iím from the Deland Florida area and I am interested in the adventure of looking for historical artifacts that have been lost to us for years more than I am any riches that could possibly be found. I am excited at any chance I can get to find an artifact and hopefully figure out its story. It must be in my nature, because Iím kind of a Sherlock Holmes type of guy. Iíve only been out hunting a few times with a friend of mine, and thus far Iíve found 56Ę in modern clad coins, a railroad spike, an old lock, and a lot of trash (I did think I found a ring on my last time out, but it turned out to be a beautiful pull tab from an old beer can. No worries, because it really wasnít my size anyway lol). Anyways, I look forward meeting some of you, and learning everything I can about this hobby and the items I hopefully find. Happy hunting everyone!

    Hello to All,

I am a Newbie from Ozark, Ar. I live in a part of the country that is rich with history, the Trail of Tears, The Civil War, Jesse James Gang, just to name a few, I have always believed I would find treasure and I think it may be just out my back door, so to speak.

Hi everyone, I'm new, an avid native American stone tool hunter from VA. I have been hunting now for a little over a year. It gives me a chance to enjoy nature and I like the surprise of the finds I come across.

Hello, my name is Kimberly, I am in Southern New Mexico. I found this site by searching for information on the Fenn treasure. I have found a few goodies... the first time I went in my front yard with a metal detector I found an old silver coin from a casino in Colorado and I have found jewelry in parks. There are several supposed treasures within driving distance of my home including Deming and Truth or Consequences areas. Would love to find an adventuring buddy, but not anyone TOO nutty...

Good luck everyone in your treasure hunting!

    Hi All,

I am from Ontario, Canada and started collecting rocks and minerals just over 2 years ago. It is a hobby that is quickly turning into an obsession...

Looking forward to going through your site to gain more knowledge. Also hoping to get assistance in identifying some find.
