    Relic Hunting

Hello from Vermont!--new to treasure hunting!

Hello, my screen name is Vermont. I am new to the hobby. I am a 57 year old guy that grew up in New Jersey and moved here in 1976. I work at a coffee manufacturer. I enjoy photography and our super big family. I did the buy an old farm house thing back in the 70's and will work on it until I drop dead!

I picked up a Garrett Gold Stinger from a prospector. It is in great shape. It was hardly used at all. All I want to do is find coins and relics around this area. I may have purchased the incorrect type of detector for what I need. --I WOULD LIKE YOUR FEEDBACK!-- Can I use this for general hunting. I seem to have a hard time adjusting it.

I have stopped by a local shop to trade it in for Teknetics Omega 8000. He will give me a good trade price so I will not lose on my original purchase. Is this the proper unit to go to? What do you suggest?

    All feedback appreciated!!

    Vermont (Gary)

It all depends on what your searching for. Garrett makes a good product. I cant say about Teknetics. You need to check out all the reviews before you make a decision dont get into a rush and end up with something you wished you had not gotten. You should also check out White's MXT, it is reasonably priced and one of the best all around units out there, if your guy is going to give a deal on a MXT then take it, you cant go wrong with a MXT

Some of us were born here. Getting rarer than hen's teeth. I'm at the South end, where the $hit flows back into mA$$. Where's the dealer you are dealing with? None down here. Thanks
