I have looked at a lot. The many options are confusing. That's why I asked for experienced opinion.

first off Jeff welcome !

you don't mention what your money situation is.
Detectors can run from a few hundred to a few thousand.

& I don't think your the Jeff Gordon who doesn't need money so
a suggestion on what your willing to spend will help

along with your mental state, if this isn't too personal.
meaning do you change hobbies as often as your socks ?
are you obsessive about your Hobbies & really get into them ?
are you interested to get rich quick ?
or love of history ?

trust me it will help for us to know what type of person you are.

I personally am an obsessive & in to it for all the above except the changing hobby part.
I never change hobbies, I'm too obsessive, been trying to get rich Quick at this for
over 40 years, love local histoty & if I could have my sox sewen on perminantly I would.
as long as they are wash & wear :laughing7:

Go cheap if this is a whim (under $500) upgrade when your Possessed like the most of us.

Go higher If your serious

If your expecting to get rich Quick, wrong Hobby
