New to forum looking for first metal detector

Hello and I'm sure this has been ask.
The wife and I do a lot of camping and love the beach. Looking for a good starter MD the can be used in the wood or on the beach. Not trying to break bank because its new to us and not sure how much we will do. We live outside Cincinnati

Hi and Welcome. As a first detector, I would suggest something along the lines of the following: Tesoro Silver uMax, Fisher F2, Garrett Ace 250, or Teknetics Delta 4000. All of these are great detectors to start off with. Look at youtube videos on these as well as checking this forum and others for users opinions.
