Anyone in Japan?

Hi all,

I live in Japan and would love to hear from anyone about anything concerning metal detecting here, or things in general in Japan. Of course I would like to hear of stuff regarding the iffy rules over here. I'm a total newbie to detecting and am open to any and all advice.

I am in Fukuoka. Bought my detector and came up at a blank of where to go so I just hit the beach to practice and ended up enjoying beach detecting

I would suspect there are many areas in Japan where metal detecting would be deemed extremely insensitive..for obvious reasons.
