Welcome, Eric! The Garrett AT Pro is a great detector, versatile enough to hunt land and water. It's great for relics , coins and jewelry. Give me a call or PM if I can answer any questions.

Welcome. What a fun and friendly place this is ! My family and I enjoy the Bristol Rhythm & Roots Festival when we can. We love all the music ! One branch of my family settled soutwest Virgina in 1760. They were early troublemakers in the American Revolution. ( Kings Mountain / Over Mountain Men ! I would focus in on hunting Abington. That town is old as dirt and chocked full of history from the beginnings of our country. Also there were huge civil war camps there. I would hunt every square inch of that little town.

Abingdon would be a killer place to hunt I would say it would be hard to do though for the most part its a very uptight town being the county seat and having a very very strict historical society. I actually have a diary from a civil war soldier who mentions being in Abingdon several times and witnessing a hanging there as well its pretty interesting stuff.
