I'm new to this metal detecting thing. I purchased a Garret 350 a few weeks ago and have a lot to learn. I have only went out once to a beach here in Michigan and found some trash in an hour. I'm hoping to learn from others on this site. From what I have read I think this 350 it is a good unit to start out with. It has a lot of whistles and bells that I am slowly learning to use. I'm sure in the future I will be asking some questions after I get out more. A member on this site that I met by chance (Didn't get his name.) came over and told me to purchase a grain scoop and drill holes in it smaller than a dime to strain the sand instead of a solid hand shovel. I plan on making a trip to Tractor Supply for that item.
Until I learn more, Happy Hunting!
Regards,
Beachbrat
