Hi from France!

Hey guys, I've just decided to get into metal detecting again, I remember doing it as a child and having a great time so I'm starting now I've moved from the UK - I'm in the Centre region of France so hoping to find some interesting sites around here! I have a Tesoro Compadre Pro on the way to me as I write this so will hopefully get to go detecting in my local area in the next week or so. Any advice for me would be much appreciated, of course, and I'll share anything I may find as and when

Welcome to the site. All kinds of history over there. Good luck and remember to check on the local laws about detecting. Some places are tough about "historical" items.

Thanks for the welcome guys Some good suggestions of French sites... I've asked my local mayor's office for permission, they said it's a pretty rare request so hopefully I'll be looking at territory that hasn't been too closely explored for the time being
