New guy from NC

Hello everyone,

I'm new here and new to the hobby. I purchased a Bounty Hunter Lone Ranger from Gander Mountain and have briefly practiced in my back yard (located some trash), and at one school playground after dark (found a quarter). I'm mainly interested in searching for old coins.

I plan to become accustomed to the hobby with this detector and then purchase a pro model for my own use and have this for my daughter or friends to use.
