JAN (just another newbie) from Mohave County, Arizona

Hello all. Just located this forum and it appears to be just what I was looking for. I moved to Arizona just over a year ago and have taken up prospecting as a pastime. Still learning, but have had a bit of dry washing luck. Getting a detector for Christmas, and plan to try it out on the 40 acres of land I just bought in Gold Basin. The land is a bit off the beaten path (about 1/2 mile from the road), and have dug a few test holes, drywashed, and have some showing of small flake placer gold. Looking for some more experienced hole diggers to help me figure out what the he k I am doing. I am also a member of the MPA (mohave county prospectors). Here is a photo of the 1st gold from my land!
