Good afternoon, My name is Bo and I live in Southern Md. My lovely wife got me my first metal detector this year for Christmas. Its a Bounty Hunter IV. this was a surprise gift as you might say it wasn't on the list!, however In my search and finding this forum I am ready to get started.
I am open to suggestions and I have no Idea where to start other than my own back 40 really 3 1/2" acres it has old farm equip on it and whats left of an old road. Some one has to have dropped something!

All the best Bo

And a Happy New Year to yo9u as well Cap'n'!

As to where to take your new BH, the backyard is a great place to
start. Understand though that you're about to embark on a
journey that will likely take you back into the history of your
property.

Do you know if there was ever a homestead or original home
on your property? If so, that's where I would start.
