New to this site

Howdy all, I'm new to this site and to metal detecting in general...I have a detector and have not used it much. I really don't know how to use it and am looking for someone in my area who is looking for someone to go detecting with every once in awhile and can show me what to do. I live in the Kansas City area. If interested, let me know.
