Have to agree that would be a great one to start with without hurting your pocketbook too bad. For your own benefit make sure your machine pinpoints, gives you a number so you can identify what kind of targets you have each time..helps you learn a little quicker which the machine mentioned does. Also so you're not chasing targets in the dirt get yourself a handheld pin pointer..deteknix makes an excellent one for $90 don't waste your money on the cheaper ones all you will do is drive yourself nuts.

Congratulations and welcome aboard! The only advice I have is to seek out a MD club as you will learn more in a few months of meetings than you can garner by yourself out in the field in a much longer period of time. Cheers!!
