Hello all! I recently inherited my dads old metal detector and its got me wanting to go out and search for stuff! I've been lurking around the forum here for a bit and just seeing what you guys find motivates me. Hopefully here soon I'll be able to post something cool! I am in the Volusia county area so if anyone has any info about places close by I'd appreciate it!

Cheers!

I'm looking to do relic and coin hunting. I'd love to hunt some old buildings as I love history. As for the detector it's nothing fancy. It's an old Radio Shack Discovery 3000 made by bounty hunter.

That's a decent start up detector. I started out with a couple Bounty Hunters. Be prepared to dig a lot of modern trash if your in to relic hunting around old buildings, unless they are abandoned out in the woods or something, then it's old trash, we call them relics, lol.
