Found this site while trying to find information on sites open to the public in my area. My interests are rather wide in range, from fossil hunting to gem and mineral digs to supply my jewelry working habit. Currently I'm working on an art piece for a friend who has just opened a shop called Obsidian Vape. When finished it will hang approximately six feet made up from several varieties of small polished obsidian slabs. After that I have about 5-10 pounds of quartz I need to work my way through, but I'm pretty sure I'll need more than that to keep me busy over the winter.
